PRINCESS DIANA ROYAL WEDDING RING HISTORY

DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES 1961 ~ 1997
Created by Garrards of London in 1980, the ring featured a spectacular 12 carat oval Ceylon Sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire brilliant cut diamonds & set in 18 carat white gold. Urban legend says that Princess Diana selected the ring because it was 'The Biggest & Most Gorgeous' in a tray of rings sent over by Garrards.

The Princess herself was later quoted as saying that the ring was selected by Queen Elizabeth & Prince Charles. Princess Diana & Prince Charles' Royal Wedding was July 29th 1981.

PRINCESS DIANA, PRINCE WILLIAM & PRINCE HARRY
Prince William inherited the beautiful Royal Wedding Ring after the passing of his mother Princess Diana. The ring was later given to Kate Middleton on the occasion of her engagement to Prince William.

Kate Middleton & Prince William's Royal Wedding was April 29th 2011. I'm sure Princess Diana was smiling from Heaven as she watched her son's beautiful fairy tale wedding. The Royal Wedding was history in the making & this gorgeous Royal Wedding Ring will always be a part of Princess Diana's amazing legacy.

KATE MIDDLETON ~ THE ROYAL WEDDING DAY
* As a sweet side note Kate's beautiful bridal flowers were comprised of a shield-shaped wired bouquet of Myrtle, Lily of the Valley & Hyacinth. As a nod to her new husband, Kate included 'Sweet William' blooms. Keeping with royal tradition, stems from a Myrtle planted by Queen Victoria in 1845 were also added.

On Trend with REGARD Magazine .... Weather the Leather

Giles Marini sizzles in our April issue in the exceptionally well-tailored, up and flourishing clothing line, Dorsia Collection. You may remember him as the object of Samantha’s desire in the first “Sex and the City,” movie, or as the season 8 first runner up, on “Dancing with the Stars,” as well as a myriad of other projects including a starring role on ABC’S hit drama “Brothers and Sisters.” Giles definitely brought the sexy to the classical pieces. I love a light leather jacket for spring. It makes for the perfect finishing piece for the shorts and a t-shirt you wear to go to a beach bbq, or for the jeans and linen shirt you wear on that first date. Leather in a lighter color is perfect for spring. Be sure it’s a medium to light weight. Light enough to be a layering piece but heavy enough to keep the chill of spring nights at bay.

On Trend with REGARD Magazine .... Innovative Gowns

As Prom season draws to a close and as we enter wedding season, there are oceans of beautiful dresses to look at.  But I was absolutely taken by the dresses by super talented designer, Ella Zahlan in our issue 7. This brilliantly creative designer manages to allow her worldly experiences to influence her designs without over doing it in the least. The fabrics are beautiful, the silhouettes are classic but innovative and body conscious, and with a twist. 

The lovely Virginia Williams of USA Network’s "Fairly Legal," looks most divine in the long sleeve nude beaded number, with the fierce padded shoulder. Seems the 80’s trends are still hanging around, but here, it’s fresh and unexpected.  Inspired by a refreshing take on strong sexy shoulders, here are a few more ideas on how to highlight very woman’s best feature. Now, dust it off, and give it a shot!
