On Trend with REGARD Magazine .... Double Duty Dressing

Spring has sprung and summer is on its way, and recently I received a few questions about dressing for the season. A major staple for the season is a cute little dress in a lightweight fabric that can be worn casually, but that can also be dressed up. A great example of how to do this is the pictorial spread with Ms. Sydne Summer. She is a fashion blogger du jour with a wildly successful website ThinkThruFashion.com and a style how to diva.

For her photo shoot in our current issue, she chose really cute dresses that would be just as cute with a pair of flat sandals. Genius! From this, I was inspired to show a few examples of some really simple, cotton or jersey knit dresses styled up with accessories. What a difference a belt, and high heels can make, but replace the stilettos with flats or sandals, and a simple frock can do double duty.
