Thank You!!!

As you know last Saturday was a very big day for us. Tipped and Tailored was a long time coming and went through tons of unexpected changes, but in the end turned out to be an amazing event. At the show I did a small thank you, but we really want to recognize all those who really this show successful that we didn't get to thank.

First and foremost God was all over this show! After facing tons of problems and wanting to quit several times, God really took over and made the show what it was suppose to be, not what we wanted it to be. And we all know God's plans are always better than our own.

To Tunde Olaniran of Stereoluxxx and Beauty and the Beat much thanks is due! He was very supportive from the beginning and was willing to help out wherever he was needed. We really appreciate him and Beauty and the Beat.

Thank you also to all of our sponsors. Somerset Salon who came in at the last stretch and agreed to provide all hair and make-up for the show. That was such a great help to us. Legendary Tattoos, who was our first sponsor, we would like to thank him as well. We also thank Whigville Market, One Source Talent, and All-Stars Sports bar.

K-Dubb at Club 93.7 also jumped right on board and we've now collaborated twice. Thanks so much to Kelvin and the whole station for the help and support.

Thank you to James Thigpen of Closetstudio.net for providing all our graphic work (and dealing with our numerous changes).

Thank you to the models and performers...you guys were beyond amazing and from the feedback everyone was really impressed.

Tunde Olaniran + Controller = Stereoluxxx = Pop/Electronica/Hip Hop Goodness! ...and it just so happens that they're gonna be blessing us with goodness at Tipped and Tailored this Saturday!

I've been a huge fan of Stereoluxxx since the first time I heard Tunde sing H-O-N-E-Y...I just knew he was talking about me! lol.

These guys have traveled the world making people dance one show at a time, so I can't wait to shake my groove thang this Saturday!

Tipped and Tailored Feature: Somerset Salon

The lovely ladies (and gentlemen) at Somerset Salon saw our vision for Tipped and Tailored and agreed to lend a helping hand with hair and make-up. The salon itself is gorgeous, and the many faces, heads, hands, and toes that leave are just as gorgeous. Somerset Salon is fully equipped with a cafe, boutique, spa/massage area, facial area, product retail space, and of course an enormous hair area.

We are so excited to have them involved in the show, and Executive Director, Summer Awad, expressed mutual excitement! One more reason why this will be a memorable event.

Tipped and Tailored Feature: Suai

Like I've said a thousand times before, we have been working our butts off for Tipped and Tailored, and one of our great accomplishments was booking Universal Motown artist Suai! She is definitely a true artist with a smooth voice and the sweetest personality to match.

You would think being featured on magazine covers and getting the thumbs up from Vibe and Giant Magazines would blow someones head up beyond belief, but not with Suai, this Detroit native is down to earth and passionate about her craft.

This year has been a big wave of success for Suai...a twelve city tour with Solange and Estelle, taking over the small screen on Baldwin Hills performing at Gerren's bday party, and showcasing in NYC with Rob Brows and Hal Linton at the Voodoo Lounge. Somebody has been busy.

So what on God's green earth would keep you from seeing a free performance from the music industry's next big thing??? Nothing! Exactly!

Tipped and Tailored Feature: Swank Boutique

One of the stores featured in the Tipped and Tailored fashion show is the uber posh Swank Boutique in Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI. Located in the upper Nordstrom level, Swank offers really unique and trendy pieces that celebs would flock to...so of course you should too. Tons of cute cropped leather jackets, Joe's and Hudson jeans, and jewelry that I can guarantee you will be the only one wearing. Owner Ebony Shaw, who originally was a hair stylist, has done a wonderful job at editing her store down to the pieces that only the really fashionable girls can love and appreciate. So you are definitely in for a treat when you come to the show Saturday September 19th, 2009 at UM-Flint Pavilion Annex.
