But don't count out the Jonas boys yet.
They just launched their summer tour with Demi Lovato last week and, along with the sitcom "Jonas LA" on Disney, the brothers will star once again in "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," coming to the cable network on Sept. 3 and on CD today. Fans will get a helping of the new "Camp Rock" tunes during the concert Wednesday night at the First Niagara Pavilion.
"We've been filming a lot this year, and we are just ready to get back out there," singer Nick Jonas said during a recent teleconference. "But I think our goal this time around is to bring something new to our fans. We haven't done a tour like this where we're bringing out our friends and integrating songs from 'Camp Rock' along with Demi and this cast from the movie."

This time around, Kevin Jonas said, "The premise of this film is really that we're going back to the camp as counselors, but we find out that there is another camp that is just across the lake. And they challenge us for the right to pretty much be the top camp. That creates some difficulties within our camp.
"And as far as the music in 'Camp Rock' goes, I think the thing that really speaks to us about this film and about the music is that there's something for everyone. You know, there's R&B, there's hip-hop, and then there's kind of our more pop-rock sound, Demi's sound, so many different sounds. I think that'll really attract people to the film."
Those projects weren't the only things keeping the Jonas Brothers busy the past year. Kevin, 22, became the first Jonas to tie the knot when he married Danielle Deleasa in December. "This will be the first time that I have toured as a married man, so it should be a little bit different," he noted, adding that she's been on the road with them a lot the past couple years, so it's nothing too life-altering.
Earlier in the year, the 17-year-old Nick launched a side project called Nick Jonas & The Administration with three members of Prince's band, and waged his first tour without his brothers, but with their full support, according to Kevin.
Nick said he'll be able to bring some of that experience back to the family unit.
"I think what I've learned from my experience with The Administration is that, or I should say the thing I was concerned about, was that carrying a show on my own and having to entertain the crowd for a little while was going to be difficult. It was actually not as difficult as I thought it would be, and hopefully that will help my performance with my brothers. And I've already started to see that it has."
The band recently issued a "Jonas L.A." soundtrack, but looming in the distance is a fifth studio album, which will be the proper follow-up to last year's "Lines, Vines and Trying Times."
"We're working right now on what that's going to sound like," Kevin said. "Just you know, taking our time and really trying to make something great, no matter how long it takes. Hopefully, 2011 is the timeline, but we're not sure just yet. And we're in no rush. We're writing a lot of music, but in no rush to release an album."
And likewise Kevin said the Jonas' are in no hurry to push their musical maturity too quickly, despite the sneers of some critics.
"For us, our musical journey has just been a progression," he said. "We're not trying to grow up too fast or anything, and I'm saying that even coming from being married. For us, we're growing up with our audience and growing up with the people listening to our music. We're just making the music that we love. And, of course, being an artist, there's always time to try and reinvent yourself and make what you have fresh, and I think that's the goal for every artist out there. But at the same time, you want to stay true to who you are as people."
As for the inevitable rise of new teen-pop stars like Bieber, Nick said, "It's definitely something we think about, but you know, I think that with all of the other young people that are coming up, we wish the best for them. And Justin Bieber in particular. We've had the opportunity to meet him a couple of times and speak with him. And, he's entering into a whole new world, and, you know, really being thrown into it all, and we hope the best for him. I think he's doing a great job so far."
