Project Runway: The Final 3 Head To Fashion Week

It's Now Down To 3...Which Designer Will Take Home The Prize At Fashion Week?

Last night was the episode of all episodes for Project Runway's season 6. So far the competition has been stiff but surprisingly the challenge which decided who would make it to fashion week...fell flat.

The designers are always faced with tricky challenges and rules, and for the first time when given the most freedom the designs were too safe, drab, and lifeless. At a time where the competitors should have let the best of their talent shine through, they let fear overwhelm them and took the easy (and ugly) way out.

But of course Heidi couldn't send them all home, so she sent Gordana and Christopher, leaving Althea, Irina, and Carol Hannah to duke it out under the tents at Bryant Park.

The female trio consistently impressed the judges throughout the competition, and although the claws were slightly out last night and on the previous episode, only time will tell what kind of tension will rise during the most important episode of them all…the Fashion Week runway shows.

I Stand Corrected

Model/Mom-to-be, Jourdan Dunn did, in fact, make an appearance during Paris Fashion Week. She strutted down the runway for Jean Paul-Gaultier's Spring 2010 show. Instead of trying to conceal the pregnancy, Gaultier brought attention to the baby bump, by dressing her stomach in matching circular banding to that of her silk brown cone bra.

So Dunn joins the company of prego supermodels Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen, and Karolina Kurkova.

Klum Does Star Trek...

April 30th Ms. Heidi Klum...or Mrs. Seal...appeared on the red carpet for the premier of Star Trek. She looked amazing! And I'm so jealous she can just pop out kids and still look like this. I pray I'm able to do the same 50 years from now when I have kids, lol. Her jewels by Martin Katz topped off her outfit perfectly, and oh...they're black diamonds not swaroski's. Get it right!

Mighty Heidi

Marie Claire covered their body issue with The body, Ms. Heidi Klum. Heidi is always refreshing to see, and in this June issue she really took no prisoners. Extravagant attire that said "I'm giving you fashion" not "I'm so gorgeous, look at me" made the feature more exciting. The funny thing is that most high fashion spreads normally have a look of fierce-ness, or uber sexiness, or the infamous dear in the head lights look, but Heidi actually smiled and gave energy throughout the entire shoot. Now, I'll have to be honest, this pic below looks like a crazy woman got a hold to the dress-up box and threw on whatever was there. It'll probably look better if she wasn't posing like "I'm gonna get you sucka", but hey...it's Heidi, how could you not like Heidi. If you pick up a copy you'll see pics of her and her adorable family...kudos to Seal for snaggin The Body and having the most beautiful children. I see a trend going with the interracial model and musician relationships. Iman and David Bowie, Heidi and Seal, next lets hope for Jourdan Dunn and.......Jesse McCartney??? Hey his new song isn't half bad.



Anyway, at 34 Heidi is still going strong with her Vicky Secret contract, her jewelry line, a new jean line, and of course Project Runway all while still getting home to tuck the kids in bed. Pretty soon my resume' will look like that too ;-). I guess you can check on mariclaire.com in a few days because the new issue isn't posted yet, I got mine in the mail, so consider yourself ahead of the game.
