The Collections Just Keep Coming...

She's a Queen, in my eyes.

Stella McCartney can do NO wrong. She knows her craft, & it shows in every look that came down the runway for Paris Fashion Week to showcase her Spring/Summer 2010 collection. She killed the game this season and if you could, you'd be a fool not to add a couple of the collection's pieces to your wardrobe. She gave us simple, buoyant, and colorful clothes for the woman who'd prefer not to wreck her brain in the morning, attempting to get dressed. This is for the mature crowd, while still pulling off the young, sexy, and chic look. It's McCartney. She went with the tailored aspect for a good portion of the show, still keeping the feminine direction; jackets in silvery raw silk shantung came with a graceful ruffle down one lapel, or a sweet peplum, and were paired with wrapped-waist, relaxed silk pants. Denim button-front A-line skirts were thrown in there, that I just loved.

"Summer's not about aggression. I wanted to teach my customers not to be afraid of the simple stuff." -McCartney

McCartney Brings Out The Inner Child

Stella McCartney went with a new approach for her autumn/winter 2009-10 campaign; with a very unlikely star, Bambi...yes the cartoon fawn.

"I'm a huge Bambi fan, and the film reminds me of my mum and we wanted to have some fun. The clothes in the campaign are looking quite fierce, and we wanted to contrast them with the innocence of Bambi." McCartney tells WWD.

The photographs, which feature model Sigrid Agren, were taken in a forest in Worcestershire before Bambi, and friends Thumper, Owl and Flower, were added to the images in the studio. The campaign will debut in Vogue's international issues, including of course British Vogue, in the September issue.

Stella McCartney Gets Big For The Little Ones

Today Gap Inc. released plans of collaborating with British designer, Stella McCartney to create collections for GapKids and babyGap. The two lines, which will be McCartney's first time designing boys and girls apparel, will be launching later on in the year and will be carried in select GapKids and babyGap stores around the world - including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Ireland and Japan.

Gap knew exactly what they were doing when they signed the contract with McCartney, seeing her impressive past collaborations with Adidas and Puma, as well as a sell out line with H&M. So all you mothers, be on the look out for this line & if your expecting, you know where you can register at for the fashionable clothing, lol.
