The little black dress is a necessary staple for any woman’s wardrobe, and no one does a black dress like friend to the magazine and sprouting designer Adolfo Sanchez. His dresses look stunning on Elena Satine in this month’s issue.
The dresses in the pictorial are all black, but each individually unique. They fit her so well, and she looked as if she were royalty. That made me think about how diverse a simple black dress can be. The great thing about a little simple black dress is that it can easily transition from season to season.

It can be tricky however to make the switch from winter to spring. One of the easiest ways to make this adjustment is to add a bright pop of color.
The hot pink cropped sweater is a great option, but any saturated color you like will do perfectly.
Also, adding light neutral colors, like nude or blush colored heels will lighten the severity of the black and make it appropriate for the up and coming spring season.
The leopard and rose print wristlet ties in all the colors and the black beaded cuff gives it a touch of cool.
Add some color to your little black dress, and let spring in!
Have fun!
