Sneaker Lessons

So do you argue with people over which new shoe releases look better, and basically give a persuasive speech on why you chose the colorway you did for a particular sneaker? You can end all that non-sense and shut people up by saying that you're obviously right because you have a college credited course to back you up!How cool would that be??? Well the pic you're looking at is a picture of (from left to right) Elliot Curtis, Octavio Lubrano, and Jesse Chorng. The two on the end are the creators of Sneakerology 101 for Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA , and Lubrano is the designer behind the ever-so popular Air Jordan 6 Rings. Sneakerology 101 is a college credited course which explores the history of sneakers and they appeal. Curtis and Chorng created the course for Canegie Mellon University from the pure love of sneakers and wanting others to go deeper into the design and logic behind them.

Recently Lubrano paid the Sneakerologists a visit and was a guest speaker during the course. (Ha! I can see half of you addicts trying to register as we speak!). Through Chorng's blog he gave a very brief summary of Octavio's lecture:

"For the most part, he talked about the legacy and design philosophies behind Jordan. Being such a high end performance shoe, Jordans have a really unique process from concept to manufacturing and involve a tight knit team dedicated to upholding Michael Jordan's high standards of what he personally believes an athletic shoe should be."

Chorng and Curtis have both fulfilled sought after internships with Vice Magazine and Reebok, which I'm sure opens the door for their most studious scholars to network their way to sole heaven.

Feels so good!!

Okay, so I posted a blog a few days ago about Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest linking up with Jordan Brand to create the Air Jordan 1 A Tribe Called Quest sneaker. The shoes were so dope that I had to cop em, and the only thing that brings me more joy than showing yall what I think is hot, Is showing yall that I actually own em!!...lol. Badu Tip??!

I always love to see celebs in a fresh pair of sneaks! Here we have the always eccentric Q-Tip in a pair of metallic gold/white Supra Muska Skytops. This pic was featured in a spread in Trace magazine (BTW they both graced the cover of this issue!). In the magazine, they revealed that they are really good friends. The two are collaborating on songs that I'm sure are gonna be FIYAH!!! Badu said that she was inspired by ATCQ and Q-Tip as a solo artist!! In other ATCQ news (A Tribe called Quest for those that are like "WTF"..lol), Air Jordan has over the past week released an Air Jordan 1 in a PERFECT colorway to represent the group! These "J's" are part of the Jordan World Influencer pack. They feature a red/black/green colorway accented with a strap up top to keep you tight!..lol. Theres really no wrong way to wear these, kinda like a Reese cup huh? Well that's all from me for the day, make sure you come back hea!!..lol -$YD K3MP

Alright, I posted a picture of a sneaker that I thought was an upcoming Air Jordan. I was just informed that the actual name of this shoe is the Nike RT1 high. They are scheduled for release in April of this year. I managed to see a few other colorways and they are pretty dope! I think this particular shoe is aimed at the skateboarders....though be expecting to see the posers feet all in em!!..lol

Yet Another HOT Jordan!!

Okay, I just caught a glimpse of THE HOTTEST JORDANS OF THE YEAR!! Yea I said it!..lol. This shoe doesn't appear to be a fusion or any other type of hybrid Jordan, neither does it appear to be any sort of retro, although it bears a slight reseblance to the Air Jordan I . All I see in this shoe is 100%, uncut DOPE!!! Sources say that this shoe is a response to the (popular out of nowhere) Supra Skytop. In my personal opinion though, these babies ran 3 laps around the Supras before they even left the starting line! No official release date has been issued, as I'll do my best to keep you posted!!! One things for certain though, ...when they drop, They'll be on my feet!! Chech em out!!- $YD K3MP

My First Time!!!

Hey cool people! As you all may know this is my first entry for Liv Lux, so of course I had to cover a crisp pair of Air Jordans! JB (Jordan brand for the sneaker lingo impaired..lol) has had a lot of success with the Air Jordan x Air Force One Fusions, and by the looks of things they don't plan to slow down anytime soon! Next up to the fusion plate is the Air Jordan VI. This model should sell pretty well because of its EXTREME resemblance to its "father"..lol. They feature a suede upper and the classic Black/Varsity red colorway. I've gotten a sneak peek @ a few more colorways and all I can say is..."BANANAS". Im sure the sceptics will have a heck of a time with these babies, because like I say with any other Fusion..."you either love em or hate em!!". Check em out- $YD-K3MP
