Item of the Day- Black Friday Find

Normally, I refrain from the Black Friday madness--the shoving in line, the race to grab the last pair of sale jeans, and the hours of waiting in line before the store opens--not my cup of tea. But yesterday I did get out at a sensible time, 10:30, and hit a few stores to see what they had to offer.

Express had an amazing sale that I couldn't participate in because it ended at noon and the time was 11:32am and I just can't shop under that type of pressure. Forever21 did in fact have $6 jeans...that I already owned, so that didn't help, and I forgot to print off my Macy's coupon so I couldn't get a pair of Levi's for $19. Looks like I sould have taken my own sales advice. 

I did pick up this dress from Charlotte Russe for a steal! The original price was $32, but it rang up for $19 with an extra 25% off! That got me into the holiday spirit :-). Just in case you buy it too, just note that I will be wearing mine to Creme de la Ceme December 4th at GFAC. I don't mind telling you because this could prevent a disastrous situation (me wearing my dress better than you, lol...kidding).

Surprise! It's a stocking stuffer idea that's on sale! Guys, I don't know of one girl who wouldn't love you to pieces when you pull out a jewelry box with Juicy on it. No one seems to care that the costume jewelry fades in a few months because...it's Juicy. And I know she won't care if you got them on sale because...they're Juicy! Ladies, how classy would you be with your little black dress on and these perfect vintage inspired faux diamond studs? Very classy. For some reason, these earrings just gave me tons of holiday cheer. Brown boots should be everyone's obsession. They can make just about any outfit cool from a dress, to a plain white tee shirt. Of course black boots can look adorable as well, but they just don't stand out as well as brown boots. These boots by Vince Camuto are ridiculous to get in and out of, I'm sure, but they're so freakin cute I'll endure the frustration. They have an already worn look to them and they also have a 2 1/2 inch heel, so guess what??....these boots were made for walking! The famous YSL logo has been placed on shoes, bags and shirts and this wallet is a secret piece of luxury that you and the cashier will appreciate when you pull it out to place an order. I always see pieces like this as an investment that can be past down to your kids in the future and they can brag on how fashionable their mom was back in the day.  

 

With a wallet like this, you've gotta make sure there's a few coins in it if you know what I mean. No faking it til you make it.

Today's item of the day is for the fellas! This stainless steel and leather D&G Dolce and Gabanna watch is a classic accessory that should be on every man's night stand or armoire (where ever you guys keep your stuff). This paticular shade of brown is beautiful; the tone will allow it to be noticed without being gaudy and it will go with just about anything. 

 

So of course this is D&G, not Timex, so the price is a little more than you'd spend on a watch at random. But the investment is well worth it...I mean, it's D&G and it's even waterproof! If your looking for a signature arm piece, purchase the D&G Genteel watch in black and brown.

Anyone without a biker jacket this season is definitely sleeping! Edgy is in, and a motorcycle jacket is the epitome of edgy. The texture and shape of this one above is right on trend but unique enough to allow you to stand out among the crowd. And if you thought this was a crazy expensive leather jacket....think again, this jacket from TopShop is 65% Polyester and 35% Viscose. This amazing sequin dress is a typical silhouette from the New York based clothing label Phi. Phi is known for creating dark and sexy designs that always create a cute little waist line and lean long legs. Their Fall 09 collection was pack full of leather, zippers, buckles, and fur and each piece boasts a unique construction that gives something as simple as leather pants a little more umph.

Although known in the fashion world, Phi is not yet a house hold name. But there sure were a lot of household names (or faces)  in this seasons show. Chanel, Sasha, and Raquel all pranced down the runway with slicked back straight hair and natural make-up. Phi is definitely a hot line, but it does come at a price...click the image for pricing.
