Up the stairs and out.......

Now the light has returned, my evenings will be filled with birdsong and the quicksilver flash of mermaids in the river. There is nothing but peace, and the touch of the Goddess over the land.

Here are a few captured moments of what I see when I am running......I go up the old worn wooden steps from my kitchen, through the front door and out.............. these are pictures of my home town, just waking up on Sunday morning, to the smells of fresh coffee and buttered toast.

I hope my dear friends that the returning of the light brings you brightness and joy, and some more family hours to laugh in.

Artist Comment

Nariel
A work in progress

Our days have been especially full this week. It is our family time to spring clean (rather...get rid of) all the creative clutter that has accumulated in the nooks and crannies over the winter. There is plenty to wade through in drawers, closets and under the many beds in this old farm house...the dust is flying too! Not much time for sculpting until well after dark.

A mermaid has, however, been taking form on my work table into the wee hours of the night. Last night I almost greeted the new morning sun with her! Yet still there is much left to be done.

Though she is a creature of the sea, I have experimented with faerie textures and fabrics for her tail and costuming which do not necessarily associate with usual merfolk wear. Her story has not come together yet. I am looking forward to that. She has a shell of a snail in her hand which holds a black pearl. Perhaps a gift of some sort...

I would be delighted if you would visit her auction to find out more about Nariel. Hopefully, she should be arriving on Ebay this Friday or Saturday evening!

Thank you for stopping by to visit...it is always so nice to *see* you!

Until we talk again...
Rose

Let us have cakes for tea...............

ROMANTIC HOMES

The First three beautiful photo's are of the current 'Romantic Homes Magazine, it is the best magazine this month....it is page after page of France, and I just love it. One of my dreams is to travel up through France, into Holland then Norway, Sweden, Denmark, through to Finland, following the old Celtic paths across northern Europe....oh it is such a dream.. I like to think of us as this extended family, all with the same roots, all celtic..all as one...dreams sweet dreams... ala..LM.
While my family have been curled up on the sofa's reading, and munching, giving out small soft grunts of happyness....I have been playing at making little cakes, fashioned out of scraps of old silks and pages from vintage books. I thought at first they would make pretty summer place settings, for afternoon teas, and then I put on some gold ties and hung them from my blossom branches...ha.... a cake tree, oh how I love to play and not to work. I hope you are playing and not working.........
Have a lovely week dear friends
Hugs Lynn xx

LADY LYNDY SORCERESS OF LIGHT

BRIGHT BLESSINGS & ENJOY THE MAGICK OF SPRING!!!

This gorgeous OOAK Art Work of Lady Lyndy was a commissioned portrait by my dear friend & incredibly talented artist Design's By CK ~ Christopher Klingler

Thank You Chris, I'm Still In Awe!

*LADY LYNDY SORCERESS OF LIGHT*
*WHEN LIGHTNING STRUCK ON ONE HALLOWEEN NIGHT*
*DEAR ABBY & ELVIRA BECAME ONE WITH THE LIGHT*
*HAUNTINGLY YOURS, LADY LYNDY*

Each of the Four Sacred Seasons: Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumnal Equinox & Winter Solstice, Dear Lady Lyndy will present for your viewing pleasure answers to your questions received through blogging comments &/or email.

The Spring Equinox has brought forth the celebration of Ostara & a mystical Paschal full moon Easter. With the Goddess Mother Earth beginning to bloom, Lady Lyndy's seasonal Topic has many blossoms:
FROM EBAY GROUPS & SOCIAL NETWORKING TO MY BLACK CAT FANTASY ART BOOK

DEAR LADY LYNDY,
I belong to a couple of eBay groups & I was wondering if I should discuss my trade secrets?
MIA FROM HARRISBURG PENNSYLVANIA

DEAR MIA FROM HARRISBURG PENNSYLVANIA,
No! If these really are trade secrets, than keep them to yourself. Share only what you can afford to give away. If you want to help with advise than give freely.

****************************

DEAR LADY LYNDY,
Is it a good idea to talk about personal problems in third party groups like eBay?
ANNA

DEAR ANNA,
I believe it is better to be somewhat personal, but not to the point of private matters between you & your family. Having Internet group friends can be a little tricky. You never know what people are really thinking about what you are typing. Or if what you are trying to convey is coming off the way you really mean it.

****************************

DEAR LADY LYNDY,
Do you think eBay type groups are better than Internet MySpace or Blog websites for social networking?
LISA AVONDALE PENNSYLVANIA

DEAR LISA AVONDALE PENNSYLVANIA,
Internet Groups, MySpace & Blog websites are great for social networking. Many people look forward to meeting & greeting friends in their groups & on their Blogsites. I have met wonderful people & now I have new friends from all over the world.

****************************

DEAR LADY LYNDY,
Have you ever had any problems with anyone from Internet groups or blogsites?
TERRY MANN

DEAR TERRY MANN,
I have had no problems with Blogsites. I have had a few disenchanting experiences with a few eBay group members. I think many people have become disenchanted with various Internet groups. If one is outspoken like me & have strong feelings than one will get both the negative & positive responses. I refuse to be treated poorly, especially if I'm spending thousands of dollars on items from group members & than get slammed. So I feel Internet Blog websites can be a fun & safe place to be completely free from any negative responses because it's your own personal site.

****************************

DEAR LADY LYNDY,
Black cats are my world & was wondering how your black cat fantasy art book is coming along?
JK

DEAR JK,
Thank you for asking about my art book endeavors. It's been hard work, tons of time & I had to refinance my house to pay for the art & the amount of money I'll need to print & publish the book. I want this to be a beautiful art book with photos of all my favorite black cat art works from all my dear friends & talented artists. We have hired a wonderful artist to be the books page layout designer & at this time professional photos are being taken of each & every OOAK art work.

We are also still trying to get a special Internet website completed to help promote the art book & the artists. TODAYSGOLD PUBLICATIONS is still under construction because my husband insisted on a flashsite. This has been the hardest website to create, especially since we are the main developers.

MY BLACK CAT FANTASY ART BOOK IS SLOWLY BUT SURELY GETTING COMPLETED & ALL MY WEBSITES WILL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW WHEN THE BOOK IS PUBLISHED & READY FOR SALE!

****************************

>^..^< MAY THE SPIRITS OF LOVE & LIGHT BE WITH YOU FOREVERMORE, LADY LYNDY >^..^<

Looking forward to the Summer Solstice & your questions received through blogging comments &/or email.

Equinox in ancient Ireland

Woke up at 4 am this morning to go drive to Loughcrew megalithic site in Knowth Ireland. Its an amazing 5000 year old site which I actually visited about 6months ago at sunset. So was great to go back there for sunrise. Kinda synchronistic how it all happened really!

I recently met a lovely Pagan Gay Irish Tarot reader and he was going with 2 other pagans friends of his, so, with me it was 4. Was good to finally meet some people that at least had an interest in the gods and nature. Its been a while!

One of the main burial/ritual chambers was open to the public for just over an hour as the sun illuminates the main chamber. Its kinda like Newgrange but this isnt as nearly well known. I actually preferred it, u could go in there and take pics and spend a decent amount of time in the chamber. We actually went in twice and really got to connect with the place.

From outside the Cairn....

Is great to honour the ancestors of the place and ponder how it was used and built over 5000 years ago.

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

Saint Patrick was born 390 & was the son of a deacon & the grandson of a priest. After Patrick was snatched from England & sent to slavery in Ireland, he returned to England & was ordained a priest. He then went back to Ireland & evangelized the country while in Armagh.

From his own hand is the Confessio & the Letter to Coroticus, protesting the British slave trading. The famous 'Breastplate' "Lorica" in Latin "Praise of Christ" is his prayer.

The legends of his driving the snakes from Ireland & using a shamrock to explain the Trinity are later embellishments to his life. Saint Patrick is the patron of Ireland & Nigeria. In keeping with his legend, Saint Patrick is invoked against snakes.

This beautiful stained glass window of Saint Patrick can be found at the St. Boniface Catholic Church San Francisco. Saint Patrick is the co-patron of the city of San Francisco.
