2009 Independent Spirit Awards

Now in its twenty-forth year, Film Independent's Spirit Awards is a celebration honoring films made by filmmakers who embody independence and BLAH BLAH BLAH...

Forget all that nonsense...get into the wardrobe. The girls weren't playing this time! Almost everyone - emphasis on almost - looked awesome.



We're going to start at the top and go right to left, k? Keep up!

First off, we have Mena Suvari wearing this Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2009 maxi dress. She wore her dress with a larger tan belt, than the one which appeared on the runway and completed the look with Piaget jewels.

Next is Miss Kerry Washington in this electric blue Marchesa dress, with the embellished neckline. She could've gave a little more in the shoe game.

Here's the minimalist, Rose Byrne in a white Calvin Klein Spring 2009 dress. She keeps it simple with plain silver pumps and no jewelery. Perfect.

Claire Danes went for a more sophisticated look with a two tone Lanvin Spring 2009 strapless bustier dress and the gathered skirt. Her necklace is just right, also from the Lanvin Spring 09 collection.

Jessica Alba looks so young in a lilac Christian Dior Spring 2009 dress and the tan Christian Louboutin Mary Janes(I die!). This more feminine look is so her.

I saved the best for last. Taraji P. Henson wore a Burberry LBD that was decorated with embroidery on the skirt and on the top of the dress. She finishes it with black gladiator Pedro Garcia sandals and a Burberry Prorsum Fall 2008 necklace.


Now for the ones who could've stayed at home...





M.K. needs to give ole' boy back his shoulder pads...ASAP!

Sandra Oh lost the little shape she has in this fuschia pink tunic Jenni Kayne Resort 2009. I would like to see her in scrubs.

And FLORAL?! Really Rachel?? C'mon now...
