Warm Up With Winter Clothing Accessories

Stylish Winter Coats, Scarves, Boots and Gloves for the Chilly Season

Spring and Fall are beloved seasons by fashionistas. You can layer pieces and get the most out of your summer and fall wardrobe combined. But when the weather starts getting less than cute and staying warm becomes more important than showing off your pedicure, it can be hard to feel as stylish as you did before. Well don't worry, here's a list of items that can help you keep your look together and keep old man winter off your back.

Knit and Leather Gloves

These are excellent examples of how you can still express your personal style while keeping warm. Lacrasia is known for producing some of the most unique leather gloves which stars and celebrity stylists quickly scoop up like they're not over $100 a pop. If you want individuality though, it sometimes does come at a price, but a good leather glove can last many years so it's worth it.

The knit American Eagle gloves are just as stylish with no crazy price tag. Longer gloves and fingerless/mitten combinations are a good way to go if you want to opt out of the plain black or brown knit gloves. There are also stripe and patterned styles that can be coordinated with your favorite winter coat.

Speaking of Winter Coats...

$34.80 Forever21

The key to this season's coats is to not have a shapeless and lifeless coat. There are way too many options out there to end up with a coat that doesn't create a shape or any excitement. These two jackets were picked to show you to define your waistline. Defining your waistline is normally reserved for a dress or blouse that cinches at the waist, but it should definitely be defined by your coat as well because you don't want to look big and bulky this winter.

Also pick colors and patterns that are complimentary to your skintone. You should avoid being washed out and having the jacket overpower you. And if you want to get the most out of your coat, go for a neutral color that will go with just about anything. If you're looking to wear your coat often, invest in a more durable coat. For fun colors and styles, cheaper styles will do.

Stock Up on Winter Boots!

One definite rule to live by for any type of footwear is to have one black option and one brown option and the rest are an added bonus. It’s also nice to have black and brown shoes in flats and with some type of heel, these 4 pair of shoes for each season are really all you need. Currently, any type of hardware – buckles, studs, chains—are very in right now so it’s no wonder that these black Maud boots are sold out. Don’t worry, you can find a similar pair almost anywhere right now.

Even though the winter isn't prime fashion season, there are always plenty of ways to make the most of it.
