Fit For A Southern Belle

Clothing collection, Belle Sauvage is a winner in my book and it's all because of this Karl (Lagerfeld) dress. For $173, it's not needed to spend your last, but when you got it, get it.

The only problem that I see in the dress is that it is “body con,” (meaning there’s no way to know quite how it fits). But if you're not worried about that, because your body fits any and everything, visit Pixie Market and add this dress to your closet.

Mademoiselle: Coco Chanel Summer '62

Karl Lagerfeld recently published, with Gerhard Steidl an amazing book on Coco Chanel's summer '62 collection. Photographer, Douglas Kirkland made the book come to life. Karl speaks so highly of her, which is expected.

"The summer of '62 was her last summer as the queen of fashion. Jeans and miniskirts were on their way to invade the world. Hating them and letting people know publicly how much she loathed the fashions to come she put herself instantly in the postition of the has-been oracle of style and fashion."

Karl also dispelled the rumors of Alber Elbaz replacing him at Chanel by simply saying "I will die here."

You heard the man...the legend.

Say It Aint So!

It has been rumored that Karl is out at Chanel and Albert Elbaz is in. & that Olivier Theyskens is to be taking Elbaz' place at Lanvin.


Why would anyone want to replace Lagerfeld?! Smh...Hopefully it is just a rumor!

A Word Of Advice

In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Karl Lagerfeld was asked by model Sigrid Agren what would be his advice on how to become a supermodel:



Lagerfeld :...You want to know what the real secret is?

Agren : Tell me.

Lagerfeld : It’s not being perfect.

For those who aren't familiar Would You Wear is when we post outrageous high fashion items and you let us know if you have the courage to pull it off.

Chanel Still Has A Leg Up

Leave it to Karl to still have a leg up on the competition, even with hosiery! Now I'm sure Karl doesn't come up with every single idea that hits the runway...some poor design assistant is probably pissed right now that Karl's taking all the credit, lol, oh well get over it. Anyway I fell in love with the double-sided panty hose (do people still say panty hose) that went down the runway for fall 2008. I picked up both the lace pair and the two-toned last time I went to Neimans. Ok, I'm lying but it would be nice.





I'm glad Chanel put a twist on things because I was starting to get bored with leggings and leg wear altogether, so this just freshen things up a bit. Maybe Express will do a cheaper version that I can afford, lol.

C'mon girls show a lil leg.

Karla Is That You ???

So, Karl Lagerfeld is the designer of three lines...Chanel, Fendi, and his own line Karl Lagerfeld. Well I guess after being oh so creative for Chanel and Fendi he just said "Make all the clothes in my line look just like me". When I looked through the line all I kept thinking was...this looks like what Karl would wear if he were a woman...or he would dress his younger sister "Karla" in these clothes. They were the epitome of Karl's style. Amazingly tailored suits, bow ties, black (I don't think I've ever seen Karl in anything but black), and loafers. He did bring in some feminine details with the silhouettes...flared skirts, and fitted jackets...but that was about it. I really can't blame him though, If I had incredible style like that (well actually I do, lol) I'd design my clothing line to mimic me as well. I'm sure Karl wants nothing more than to see a woman look as good as he does...so he made that possible.

"Her Pants Are Poorly Cut." -Lagerfeld

I really wish I had Hillary's email so I could forward this to her! Karl said what he needed to say...and has no problem expressing his feelings, even if they are directed towards former First Lady of the U.S. and a 2008 Presidential candidate. LMAO!! Another reason to love Karl Lagerfeld, ey?

Stick 'Em Up!

Mr. Lagerfeld has taken the stiletto game to a another level with this one. A gun as a heel?!? You've gotta be kidding me...These heels were included in his Chanel Cruise 2009 Collection and looks great with the rest of the pieces included. This is one of the many reasons why Lagerfeld is one of the best designers alive today; he keeps the audience on their toes(no pun intended) with every new collection that rolls down the runway. Can't wait to see what he has under his sleeve next. Maybe a bullet-proof blazer? You never know when it comes to Karl and Chanel.
