Natalie Portman in the New V Magazine

Natalie Portman looks AMAZING in the new issue of V Magazine. She brought our her inner supermodel for the magazine known for its sexy fashion edge. Everything from the colors, make-up, gorgeous clothes, and the intensity she served up made this a winner with all the glossy lovers.
According to Highsnobette, to go along with the release of this issue V commissioned Stephen Smith to create a stop-motion video to capture the essence of Chanel, a look that Portman wears on the cover. Take a look...

Chanel Tattoos....$3,995

Just kidding about the price...but I'm sure if they could, they would. Chanel adorned their models with temporary tattoos of Chanel pearls, chains, and logos for the Spring 2010 Paris show. For Chanel to be an older house, I love the way the keep things fresh and exciting and always finds a new way to inspire.

I Smell A Law Suit...

Brown's Focus and designer Oonagh O'Hagan came up with the cutest cheap alternative to dropping a years worth of college tuition on a bag. These totes with screen printed iconic bags are more stylish than your average tote and give you motivation to keep on pushing until you can afford the real thing. But do you really think LVHM, Chanel, and Herme's are gonna let this fly??? I think not! O'Hagan is definitely going to cough up some cash.

I'll be sure to order mine before they get pulled. lol

"Beat Face" by Chanel

Did I just come up with their new campaign slogan??? lol. What a pleasant surprise this was in my inbox this morning. Chanel's fall 09 make-up collection is just as pleasing as the rtw collection. Colors like "tweed sienna, celadon, and espresso" to adorn your face to make your features pop this fall. Well ladies, getting closer to CoCo is just a click away. Click the pic to see the entire collection.

Say It Aint So!

It has been rumored that Karl is out at Chanel and Albert Elbaz is in. & that Olivier Theyskens is to be taking Elbaz' place at Lanvin.

Why would anyone want to replace Lagerfeld?! Smh...Hopefully it is just a rumor!

Another One Bites The Dust!

Models may look perfect, but here is proof that they are not! Alexandra Tomlinson busted her *bleep* on the couture Chanel runway yesterday. The shoes, as you can see, are a little high (but not that bad). But the runway looks like the worst part, looks like they needed on ice skates rather than platforms. Well to Alex...don't worry, even Naomi fell, and look at her now.

Ok Karl....

...We can't have your back for everything. These Chanel's may work on the runway but seriously who would wear these on the street??? U know what...this is the "Would You Wear?" of the week. For those who aren't familiar Would You Wear is when we post outrageous high fashion items and you let us know if you have the courage to pull it off.

So have at it.

The Coveted

Just a few pieces I need in my life...

Anna Sui S/S 2009- I could live in this silhouette. I love a defined waist and A-line it's so fun and flirty and short enough to keep my beau's attention ;-)

Versace F/W 2008- Sky high heels are everything right now and these are simple but outrageous all at the same time. Plus...Purple's the new black.

Tarina Tarintino- Love Love Love. This necklace reminds me of the jewelry you use to wear as a child that came in the pack with the slip on heels with the feathers, and the boa, and clip on earrings. Ahhh the memories...this piece can add excitement to any ensemble.

D&G F/W 2008- From the looks of it, I'm really into color this season. This bag is definitely an eye catcher...even though I'm not to sure on the shape of it and how short the handles are. But hey...It's D&G...I'll get over it.

The fashion ignorant will ask "Why are you always carrying around that Chanel shopping bag?" and you politely reply "For the same reason you decided to wear THAT!" Because you already know it will be a mess. Anyway, I would carry this bag til the day I die. That darn Karl holds a special place in my heart.

Christmas is closer than you think...hint hint!

Would You Wear...

If there was a list of crazy things from Chanel these pair of heels would skip every other thing and pump right to the top. If you look closely you might see that part of the heel is glass..well you're partly correct. Actually, the heel is a light bulb; yep that's right. A real life light bulb that lights up every time you take a step. I guess the inspiration was those shoes we used to wear in kindergarten that lit up as we walked with no shoestrings because our momma's was so tired of tying our shoes every two minutes. For $2,200 these bad babies are all yours. Just make sure you get some insurance because you can break your ankle, get electrocuted, and step on some glass; all in the name of Chanel.

Get into it.

Chanel Still Has A Leg Up

Leave it to Karl to still have a leg up on the competition, even with hosiery! Now I'm sure Karl doesn't come up with every single idea that hits the runway...some poor design assistant is probably pissed right now that Karl's taking all the credit, lol, oh well get over it. Anyway I fell in love with the double-sided panty hose (do people still say panty hose) that went down the runway for fall 2008. I picked up both the lace pair and the two-toned last time I went to Neimans. Ok, I'm lying but it would be nice.

I'm glad Chanel put a twist on things because I was starting to get bored with leggings and leg wear altogether, so this just freshen things up a bit. Maybe Express will do a cheaper version that I can afford, lol.

C'mon girls show a lil leg.

Chanel Has The Perfect Father's Day Gift

If you thought legendary fashion house, Chanel only dealt with clothes...you are sadly mistaken. Karl Lagerfeld has come up with another innovative creation; the Chanel fly-fishing rod. Yes, a fishing rod...that long stick you use to catch fish with. The only difference is that this rod will run you $18,000. I really don't know where you would be able to purchase one of these rare rods because I highly doubt they would have them sitting in your local Bass Pro Shop. Why make such a thing, you ask? Well Coco Chanel was a very skilled angler during the 20's when she was being courted by the Duke of Westminster. Whatever the reason may be, I hope there were only a few made in the world because the only kid I could imagine buying their Pops something this expensive is Paris or Nicole..OK, maybe not Nicole. But if you really love your father and you want to make this the BEST Father's Day ever, take out that loan and get him the Chanel fly fishing rod...he'll love it! Below are a few other cool things that Mr. Lagerfeld has decided to design.

Who Cares About Gas?!?

With Gucci bikes...no one should need or want a car. I mean have you ever seen a Gucci Car??? A real Gucci car, not a car with fake Gucci fabric that yo cousin from around the way threw on the back seats...yeah I didn't think so. I've really, no seriously, been considering investing in a set of 2 wheels not 4 to get around town, because I refuse to sacrifice clothes or food for "expensive for no reason" gas. Now Gucci gave me a reason to think a little harder, I'm sure it's about the equivalent of the price of a car , but hey...It's eco-friendly, and easy on the pockets in the long run. Also just extra fyi this particular Gucci bike was made for the Olympic games in Beijing. Coolness!

Well I guess we can't give Gucci all the credit, because Chanel has a fierce pair of wheels on the market too. I heard a story that Karl walked past a window of a store and saw the bike and went in and sat on it and caused a frenzy! Imagine walking past a store window and seeing Karl perched on a 10 speed Chanel...OMG I would just die! So here are my reasons to try to persuade you to ride bikes instead of drive...

1. Your working out while you travel, instead of traveling to the gym to work out.

2. It keeps about 200 extra dollars in your pocket a month, because your gas tank isn't drinking up all your money.

3. And lastly it's better on the environment! I'm sure Al Gore and Leonardo Dicaprio will love you lots if they see you riding a bike down the street. And Anna Wintour will love you more if she see's it's a Gucci bike.

So be cool people...and ride a bike!

Salute Your Shorts

Tis the season to let those bare legs show. Slouchy or tight..you gotta wear some shorts at least one day out of the summer. Just make sure that yours don't bunch up in the middle when you walk...I swear that has to be one the worst things in the world. Designers gave you shorts in a variety of styles this spring, from baggy boyfriend fit, to high waisted hoochy moma like Anna Sui did. And guys we're not leaving you out, you have to throw on some shorts too now... and not just the cargo shorts from Hollister...step it up and put on a nice fitted short (not too fitted we're not asking to see your package) after all it is the year of the gentleman...according to Ne-yo.

The athletic types are always wearing some sort of sports short, but this time around it can actually be worn outside the gym. Chanel's spring collection came equipped with tons of sports accessories to let you know that it's ok to be a fashionable jock. Below are a pair of shorts from the Stella McCartney Adidas collection, which I must admit, is a little too relaxed for my taste, but I'm sure you can take something from the collection and make it your own. For those of your who are scared of shorts...please get over it. Shorts come in so many styles now-a-days that you can cover up whatever your insecure about. For instance, a good Bermuda or walking short can be worn if your more conservative, or if your more of a rocker chick Alexander Wang did ripped denim shorts that can go from day to night with a change of shoes. Believe me, there are too many designers and styles for you to count any style out. So, show a little leg will ya?

The Devil Wears Prada? Not Anymore.

I planned on doing a re-cap of my previous blog about the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Ball but I figured why not just talk about my favorite person that was there and how STUNNING she looked. Anna Wintour wowed me and I can guarantee many others with her haute couture Chanel creation. She let everyone know that she wore it to resemble Storm, the "X-Men" character. I believe that she hit the mark with this gorgeous ensemble. I can't wait until I meet her(notice how I didn't say "hope I meet her"). This lady has played such a significant role in the world of fashion I don't think anyone will be able to forget such a extraordinary women of style and grace. She only built her reputation of stepping out looking awesome with this couture replication for Storm. There were others that looked great such as Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek and Lucy Liu but no one was more ravishing that Miss Wintour. How about a round of applause...

“I am Storm, that’s why we’ve had sunshine all day. I stopped the rain.”
