Zac Posen has been one of my favorites since he participated in the transformation of Rihanna. His pieces are always young, eye catching, and bold. I recently saw a few pics from his Spring 2010 collection and immediately went to investigate this faboulousness. I'm not sure if I love the clothes more then the atmosphere of the show. I'm a sucker for unique presentations, and something about it gave me upscale church fashion show with moody lighting and bomb models. I loved it! I felt like it was a throwback to how shows use to look back in the day...the models doing dramatic turns with lots of personality.

Light As A Feather
Lighten up this spring. The time for heavy fabrics and extra layers has almost come to an end. And for spring there's nothing more refreshing than airy light skirts and dresses blowing through the wind. Don't believe me? Just ask John Galliano or Zac Posen, or maybe Allesandro Dell Acqua...they know what's up.

"Let's Go Little Kitty Kat..."
Taking the past and making it that much better for the future is always what designers are doing. Zac Posen took us back to the flirty forties for his Pre-Fall 2009 Collection with trumpet-skirted suits, an eel-skin trench coat and a bomb leopard dress. You can't forget the body-hugging cocktail dresses that strutted down the runway that made for a very nice collection. It's almost like he was teasing us with this collection, seeing as though it was fairly small. Nevertheless, I live for Posen and this collection. Get into it.

Still Obama Crazy?
Unless you've been under a rock for a couple months you know that this upcoming weekend will be one written in the history books of the USA. And because we here at LivLux want you all to look your best as you go to witness the inauguration of Obama we want to show you some dope pieces from some even DOPER designers. This canvas tote was designed by Diane von Furstenberg and Tory Burch. Joining DVS and Burch, are pieces from Zac Posen, Donna Karan, Rachel Roy, Deréon and many more. Another good thing is that everything is on sale (under $70) until February. If you want to check out some of the rest of these collectibles CLICK HERE. Buy me that "Endless" scarf by Alexander Wang while you're at it.

Zac x Diddy

We all need to take notes from my God Daddy Diddy (yes I'm claiming him as my God Daddy, I know he has a lot of kids, but what will one more hurt). He said himself that he's not making money from music, but what he is making money from is the MTV shows that were on around the clock..bet you didn't know he was involved with Run's House (read the credits people)...all the making the bands, his fragrances, his clothing line, and now someone else's clothing line. It was the best idea in the world for Diddy to partner up with Zac Posen and his Ready to Wear Collection. For one: Zac's designs rock my socks, and two: Why not capitalize on your brand and someone else's brand?

I know I'm slipping but, I just took a look at Zac's Spring collection and I must say although not very cohesive, all the clothing is very much up to par...no what's better than par? A birdie?? Yeah I think his collection is a birdie, lol. He has amazing red carpet worthy dresses along with shirts, skirts, and pants that are great for everyday. And if you can't decide which trend to follow this season (tribal, artsy, floral) Posen pretty much covers them all so, be at ease my indecisive friends. All I can say is take a look for yourself, and like I said, take out your pen and pad whenever Diddy makes a move.
