Some great snaps I just got from Elvis Di Fazio from my big show at the Sydney Mardi Gras.

Count Down to Top Shop
Everyone has been waiting patiently for the hottest thing across the Atlantic to finally invade Manhattan. Well the wait is almost over and TopShop is scheduled to open April 2nd in Soho. And I am dying to be in NYC during that time because at 11am the one and only Kate Moss the boss will be cutting the ribbon celebrating the grand opening of the 4 level 40,000 square foot store! Now that is definitely worth a trip to NYC.
New Yorkers get ready!!

A Little Smack Down Won't Stop Ri Ri's Style!
I love this girl...she's continuously giving us ensembles to swoon over, even in the mist of a scandal. The stripped AM Shades stop me dead in my tracks, so I had to give my girl kudos. Then mosey on down to the Missoni jumper and continue to lust after her closet, I would imagine it's the closest thing to heaven ♥.
I think she's got the number one spot when it comes to style.

Couture Prom Queen...
Dior Couture Spring 2009
To all my young ladies, it's about that time to get ready for the biggest high school event of your life...PROM! And I won't discourage you and say it's overrated...I'll just say if you're gonna go...do it up right. I think timeless silhouettes and lots of glam is definitely the way to go, and please do us all a favor and refrain from spilling out the dress and looking uncomfortable. Believe me...it shows when you're uncomfortable. Here's a few ideas of what I would like to see at this year's proms. And believe me I know you're not gonna go out and spend three years of college tuition on a Dior couture gown...but you local seamstress may be able to create a look alike.

Take Out The Trash...
The Eye of the Tiger
Blonde vs. Brunettes
Its often said that if she goes blonde she will never go back! I have to admit that was very true until now.(Trust me, I know!) The problem is when blondes go in for serious roles and jobs they are less likely to be taken serious. No matter how great their talent is, the brunette seems to be more impressive. This new trend is defiantly something to look out for, because the "Golden Girls" are losing roles to the brunettes. 38% of women have said that their hair color has held them back in their careers. Psssh... why do you think Scarlett Johansson, Fergie and Beyonce crossed over to the dark side?
Ladies its just something to think about...

B Loves The Kids
The most important child from Destiny's Child has been called by the almighty Anna to grace the April cover of Vogue. She talks about how she's amazed at how much influence she has on young girls...but if you look at this pic it looks like home boy standing in front of her is a little influenced as well...lol no shade.
Check out the behind the scenes video...

I'm Not Impressed
I'm not sure if C Nic and I are just jaded or if designers really are just being lazy. Because we're just not feeling it now-a-days. I was browsing through Dior's Spring collection, and being Dior, a mega fashion house with the reputation for setting the bar, I was expecting to be fashionly overwhelmed. And that was NOT the case. It's not terrible...but it's just not "Dior"...ya know?
Yeah that's enough...(yawn)

Turn Off The Lights...
Unzipped...
Thinking outside the box is definitely the new black. Jewelry designer Kate Cusack has taken that concept to the next level. She designs a line of dopeeeeeeee accessories made of...zippers! They are literally works of art! They're bold unique standout pieces that will outshine any old normal piece of bling. The prices range from $400-1000...because they're custom (duh!) and they're sold at museums and boutiques across the country.
You likey?? Me likey!!

Couples With Onscreen Chemistry
Van and Nadia
Whenever these two are paired as romantic partners in a movie, viewers are guaranteed a convincing sizzling hot onscreen romance. From the movie Beyonce the president’s daughter to in my husband’s eyes, viewers were given their money’s worth and then some-in romantic terms that is.
Majid and Yvonne Nelson
Where do I start? The passion between these two is so intense it could literally crack a screen-okay a little bit of an exaggeration there. They seem genuine in how they hungrily reach for each other not to mention that I-will-tear-you-apart look they exchange. Very intoxicating.
Van and Jackie
Thiers is one of the worst onscreen romance I have ever seen. In the movie “Royal Battle” the chemistry between them is nonexistent; it felt like I was watching a virtual wood kissing an unresponsive pole. Though in recent movies I have observed some improvement, these two need to put aside their uneasiness and whatever barrier there is and go for it. What happened to professionalism and the ability to set aside all casualness and inhibitions?
Majid and Jackie
The romance between these two is usually sensual and tender. Though somewhat subtle, it usually brews into this intense yet gentle passion leaving audiences rooting for them. Spoiler alert-this is usually ruined by a bunch of Shakespearean baloney. It is a turn off-why do these screen writers have to mar everything with their tendency to over indulge!?
Majid and Nadia
I have seen these two in a couple of movies, but honestly they just don’t cut it romantically when paired together. The intensity of their passion is too dim compared to the passion the exhibit when paired with different partners. Obviously, they both put a lot of effort into coming across believable but sorry guys, I just don’t buy it!

Latest Shoot - A Sneak Peek!
I had a shoot with Marcus Mok a few days ago, he is a great photographer from Singapore.(www.marcusart.net) It was the 4th time we had shot together and we really worked on fresh ideas of movement.
Im really happy with how they turned out.
There are some posey ones as well, just for that classic thing.

C'mon Old School Harlem
It was only a matter of time...
I know I joke a lot about how all these artists are trying to step into the world of fashion design, but here's one guy that I honestly think will go somewhere with this. Andre Benjamin, a.k.a. Andre 3000 (b.k.a. Doni's future hubby, lol) has recently launched his clothing line "Benjamin Bixby", getting the name from a documentary. The 70-piece collection is now available at Barney's. Mr. 3000 got some of his inspiration from college football circa 1935. The line is currently self-funded by Benjamin and he is looking for a partner.
Andre's style is dope, itself so it's great to see him express it through a clothing line and making it available for others (like me) to share his sense of style. Thank you 'Dre, thank you.
