Umm...How Old Is She?

...And she still looks just as good as she did when she first came on the scene.

Acknowledge Greatness when you see it. That's all.

The Baddest Duo Since Peaches and Herb

When I say bad, I meant it in the BEST way possible. Last night Naomi Campbell held Fashion For Relief in London. The show is a charity event that raises money for The White Ribbon Alliance. The show consisted of plenty celebrities walking the runway, but the BEST was when Naomi and Chanel Iman came out together to strut their stuff in Azzedine Alaia.

Old School vs. New School

Mother Said Not To Slouch

Louis Vuitton

So what?!? says the designers, because they are giving me slouchy fit all over the place. With pants and jackets big enough to fit 2 people in them... they're slowly sneaking us back into the business side of the 80's. Naomi rocks some beautiful slouchy fit pants in the new YSL ad (and pictured here with ALT) that I loved, and Ashley Olsen wore some slouchy pants to the CFDA awards that I really couldn't see myself in. Regardless, a lot of the designers are forcing us girls to take a more manly approach to fashion...but I don't know if I'm ready for all that.

I totally understand the whole menswear inspired thing, but now even menswear has a slimmer cut and fit...so why do we have to be saggy and baggy? To me it all comes down to feeling like a woman, with a very fitted top and a great pair of stilettos yeah I could pull of slouchy. But a whole suit of just excess material is a little too, what's the word...butch. Maybe at the end of the season we'll see what celeb pulled off the look the best.

Queen Nay Nay Isn't Going Anywhere!

You ever heard the saying, "You can't hold a good women down for long?" No? Me neither, lol. Well now you have! This now is the quote I think of every time I see Naomi in a magazine or on another runway. In this months issue of V Magazine Campbell had a spread entitled "The Empire Strikes Back" and looked DAMN good, If I may say so.

2 LL thumbs up are given to photographer, Mario Sorrenti who shot the entire spread and caught all the right angles of Naomi(like there are any wrong ones!). Props are also due to stylist, Jane How. Her wardrobe was all black and included crazy shapes of the new fall season and a lot of bold silhouettes. The pictures were taken in black and white which made the look that much more impressive. Naomi Campbell has one of the best bone structure that I've seen photographed. She demands attention with every picture and even when she's not looking at you, you can feel her. That's how you know she was born to do this and won't be taking a seat anytime soon.

Here are a few more pictures from the spread. ♥ it.

Hey, She's Not A Boy!

Dolce & Gabbana held their Spring 2009 menswear show in Milan this weekend. Did you catch that? Menswear! So what the heck was Naomi doing strutting her stuff down the runway? I don't know, but she looked liked fiya in a black lace bra, silk boxer shorts and a matching kimono. You know you have to be the cream of the crop when they have you in men's show when you're not even a male. I guess she was able to squeeze time in from the courthouse to do something constructive with her time, ey?

BTW-Campbell plead guilty to assault on airport police. :(

Can Naomi Campbell Get Any Bigger?!

For all you Naomi Campbell bashers, get started on that hate mail! Famed photographer, Nick Knight has announced that his newest project is creating 30-foot sculptures of Campbell. One sculpture will be of Naomi straddling the barrel of a large tank and the other will be a circle of three Naomi's, something like the Three Graces but it will be designed to be viewed from the inside of the circle. The only question I have is "Where are these gonna go?!?!" Maybe next to the statue of Abraham Lincoln in D.C.? Ok, maybe not. What if they have it something like the Statue of Liberty? That would be cool..tell us what you think and where you might erect this larger than life supermodel diva.

WALK B*&^%!!!

We're going to ignore the fact that it looks like she's had another run in with the po-po and get to the real matter at hand. Do you see Naomi Campbell's heels?! I got a little light headed when I peeped 'em out. Homegirl is rocking those razor sharp stiletto's. I mean, you tell me one other person who can catwalk through an airport in 5 inch pumps? Girl is sickening(word of the week, lol)! Even with the bad news that always seems to surround her, Campbell still manages to keep that priceless smile on her face. There is always a new reason to love Miss Campbell and I just found mine for the month.

BTW-The real reason she was with the police is because she was apologizing for throwing the tantrum that resulted in her arrest weeks prior. Don't you just love a gal who can admit when she's wrong?

Louboutin Love♥

Every female who is anyone in the fashion/entertainment world has a pair of this mans heels in her closet. If not, she must be living under a rock without a shoe rack. You don't even have to be fashion-savvy to know who this man is...just pick up a Jay-Z's latest album, American Gangster and he mentions him. Christian Louboutin has made a name for himself that is just as impressive as the heels, which I think speak for themselves. Louboutins career started back in 1992 when he open his first boutique in Paris. Since then he has opened numerous stores around the globe, with two in NYC. With the infamous red sole on the bottom of every single pair of heels he makes, I say that it would be almost impossible to forget this man. Everyone from Nicole Kidman to Janet Jackson has been spotted strutting their stuff in a pair of these gorgeous pumps.

Just recently, he visited Barney's New York where he signed the soles of his red-soled heels for swarms of fashionista fans. Even legendary soul singer, Pattie LaBelle and model, Naomi Campbell where in attendence.

Keep your eyes out for Mr. "Red Sole" Louboutin, because I'm sure he's just getting started.
