Four Liberian actors are off to Nigeria today

Four Liberian actors are off to Nigeria today to participate in the popular reality TV competition show, “The Next Movie Star”. The show, aimed at projecting Africa's image to the world, features a cast of actors and actresses from across Anglophone West Africa. The Liberian group was cast from some 300 persons at an audition in Monrovia with Cynthia Blay, Joseph Weah, Avenette Sirleaf and one of Liberia's top models, Munah Pelham, emerging as the final foursome. “We will be living in a house witImage Hosting by PictureTrail.comh other West Africans for about a month,” Pelham said.

Liberian Movie Union (LIMU) president , Mr. Clifford Robinson, who introduced the group at a Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICAT) press conference yesterday, announced that the winner of the reality TV competition will emerge with 3 international movie contracts, a brand new car, US$5000 cash prize and an apartment paid up for one year . Other remaining housemates will take home 10 million Naira in prizes. The show is expected to air on DSTV's African Magic as well as other major TV stations in Liberia, Gambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
