Fashion major students at Savannah College of Art and Design hosted their annual fashion show this weekend and honored famed designer John Galliano for the evening. There to present Galliano with the André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award were SCAD President Paula S. Wallace and Mr. Editor-At-Large, himself. Unfortunatley, Galliano was under the weather and unable to make the show so Katherine Ross, senior vice president, public relations and communications, LVMH took the award on his behalf. Despite the empty seat on the front row, the show was still a success! Just a bit of a side note information: Galliano just recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with the house of Dior in 2007. I say this man really deserves every award he gets, especiallty with his recent show-Christian Dior Resort 2009. Ok, back to the show! There were more than 100 students that fought for the prestigious slots in the fashion show, which has become one of the top known student fashion shows in the United States. I plan on being at the next one so make sure you save me a seat next to you André!
P.S.-I ♥ this dress!!!
